Rosita Extra Virgin Cod Liver oil (EVCLO)

A premium cod liver oil, sustainably harvested from the pristine waters of Norway. The oil is wild & raw, no heat or chemicals are used during the ancient extraction method.

From wild-caught Norwegian cod, containing rare nutrients & lipids.

EVCLO contains omega 3, 4, 6, 7, 9 and 11 fats, vitamins, plus other fat-soluble nutrients. These nutrients, including vitamins A and D are 'naturally occurring' and never added to Rosita CLO.

Therapeutic History

Oil from the livers of Gadus sp. (particularly G. morhua, or Atlantic cod) use therapeutically can be traced back to ancient times. Pliny (23-27 CE), a Roman author and naturalist, and Hippocrates (circa 460-370 BCE) the father of medicine, both advocated using fish oils for their health benefits. The 18th and 19th centuries brought to light the internal remedies of cod liver oil specifically. Dr. Western A. Price’s findings of Indigenous peoples who maintained the health of their traditional diet being superior to modernised ways of eating, identified the presence of higher levels of fat-soluble vitamins A and D in traditional diets, a shortcoming of contemporary diets.
